Baraga County Chamber of Commerce welcomes Circle K with a ribbon cutting ceremony

Circle K’s success in the convenience retailing industry spans more than 60 years. Their roots trace back to 1951 when Fred Hervey purchased three Kay’s Food Stores in El Paso, Texas. Circle K has now become one of the most widely recognized convenience store brands, known worldwide for quality products and great customer service. They have come a long way since their humble beginnings, and are proud of where they’ve been and where they’re going.

As part of Circle K’s grand opening – the company donated funds to a local non-profit member – Baraga County Shelter Home. For over 40 years, this home has been a refuge for survivors of domestic violence in the Upper Peninsula. They provide comprehensive domestic violence services including emergency housing, legal and financial advocacy, emotional support, and community awareness programs to create a safer future for all. Their services are free and open to everyone—regardless of gender, income, or background.

In addition to gas, Circle K carries beverages and food – for on-the-go, at work or anywhere in-between. Fresh made to order pizza is available daily. They also carry supplies for the everyday necessities for your fridge, your family, your first aid kit or your traveling tool box. Fuel up, oil up and tidy up your car. One stop at Circle K and you’re ready to take on your day. No matter why you’re stopping or who you’re with, just come as you are…they’ll be there ready and waiting for you!
