January 1st – March 31st Fees:
Male/Female=$10.00
Unsexed (spayed or neutered)=$7.00
April 1st – December 31st Fees:
Male/Female=$20.00
Unsexed (spayed or neutered)=$14.00
The County Treasurer sells kennel licenses.
Kennel License
$10.00 for 10 dogs or less.
$30.00 for more than 10 dogs.

What activities require a permit?
A permit is required for any earth change that disturbs one or more acres, or is within 500 feet of a lake or stream.
Are there penalties for not complying with permit conditions or Part 91?
Yes, there are several:
1) A person may be subject to a civil fine of up to $25,000 for each day of violation
2) A cease and desist order or injunction may be issued until compliance is obtained
3) The permitting agency may install or maintain control measures to bring the site into compliance with part 91 and bill the landowner for the costs incurred
4) A person may be ordered to restore all areas affected by the violation

Marriage License Requirements & Fees
FEES:
Baraga County Residents $20.00
Non Baraga County Residents $30.00
• A marriage license is valid for 30 days after the issue date. You cannot apply for the marriage license more than 33 days before the date of marriage. • After the application is complete, there is a three day waiting period. You will be told when you apply when you can return to the County Clerk’s Office to pick your license up. The three day waiting period can be waived with approval from the County Clerk.
THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION IS NEEDED TO APPLY FOR A MARRIAGE LICENSE:
• Certified Birth Certificate • Current Photograph Identification • Social Security Numbers (Cards are not required)
RESIDENCY
• A person must apply for a marriage license in the County Clerk’s office of the County in which either the man or woman reside but can get married anywhere in the State of Michigan. • If both parties are non-Michigan residents, the marriage license must be obtained from the County Clerk in the county in which the marriage is to be performed.
AGE REQUIREMENT
• 18 years and older without parental consent • 16-17 years of age need parental consent • 15 years of age and under must go through Probate Court
WITNESS REQUIREMENT
• Must be 18 years of age or older
