For over 40 years, Baraga County Shelter Home (BCSH) has served as a refuge for survivors of domestic violence and their children throughout Baraga County and surrounding Upper Peninsula communities. BCSH provides free, confidential services to anyone experiencing domestic violence, regardless of identity or income. Its comprehensive programs include emergency shelter, a 24/7 helpline, legal and financial advocacy, emotional support, and community education and awareness initiatives.
Beyond supporting survivors, BCSH is dedicated to serving the entire community through advocacy and education aimed at ending domestic violence. By raising awareness of intimate partner violence, its impact on community health, and the lasting effects of trauma, BCSH works toward a future where everyone can feel safe in their homes and relationships.
