The Baraga Co. Chamber of Commerce Mix & Mingle was held on Friday, April 17. There were about 30-35 people in attendance and raised apx. $1200.00 for the scholarship fund. Due to the generosity of this and previous Mix & Mingle events, the Chamber was able to give out 3 scholarships this year! Everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed the food provided by area restaurants, the MI wine & sparkling juice tasting, the brown bag auction and the 50/50 raffle.
The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the following restaurants for donating – Baraga Lakekside Inn Restaurant, The Finn’s, Irene’s Pizza, L’Anse American Legion, Larry’s Market, Lighthouse Bistro, Nite Owl Cafe, Pines/Hot Stuff Pizza, Ojibwa Pressbox Cafe, Silver River Cafe and Whirl-I-Gig.
We would also like to thank our sponsors – Bay Insurance, Kahkonen Construction, Semco Energy, Superior National Bank and the Village of Baraga. And to the L’Anse Golf Course for donating the space needed to hold this event.
With all our wonderful donations and sponsors we were able to put more funds into providing scholarships for future High School seniors.
